Friday was our first performance of the Wizard of Oz. I have to say, the kids really kept their cool! Obviously, it was a little rocky, but we worked through it very well. This goes especially to the Munchkins, Monkeys, Emerald Citizens, et cetera: Way to go! They are all very young, but they all did great!
Also, Improvysteria had a performance yesterday. That went extremely well, too. If you would like more information about that, you may check out the Impovysteria blog at improvysteria.blogspot.com.
Today was another performance of Wizard of Oz. It went very well. Also a bit rocky today, but we were able to work through it yet again. Keep studying those lines, and let's do even better NEXT weekend!
Both performances of Wizard of Oz were huge crowds, as well as crowd-pleasers. Improvysteria also had a decent audience, even though it was not advertised.
In general, Firehouse had a good performance weekend. Let's keep up the good work, and SPREAD THE WORD. Put posters up at your schools or workplace. Tell people you bump into that you're performing in (insert play name here). You'd be surprised at how many people might tell you they're interested in coming to a play!
I'd like to know more about Evolution Improv, as always. From what I hear, it's going to become an official improv group at Firehouse. Will we be holding regular warm-ups for it, then? What's the scoop? Ashley, I'm assuming that you're the person who can answer most questions about the group. Also, does that mean that they will also get a blogspot?
On a totally unrelated note, does anyone here remember Scott G? He played Cratchit in A Christmas Carol, if that refreshes your memory. I discovered that he has a blog on Blogger....anyone who may want to get in touch with him may be able to through that.
I look forward to seeing some of you this weekend!

Firehouse hits myspace! and other odds and ends
First of all, I want to congratulate everyone who took part in The Strange Saga of Lucky the Leprechaun. It was a great show, and everyone put in a lot of effort! Let's do that for all our shows!
Secondly, Firehouse now has a myspace, in case you didn't know. If you would like to check it out, the URL is http://www.myspace.com/firehousetheaterfw.
Last but not least (for now), I would like to know more about Evolution Improv. Is it going to keep going, or was this a one-time deal? Ashley and/or Scott, you were pretty much the brains behind this. A response from either of you would be gratifying, to say the least.
I hope to see more faces, familiar or otherwise, at future shows! For those who don't know, we are also performing Wizard of Oz, which opens this weekend. Check the calendar for more information. (It would be right there, in case you didn't know ---->)
This is Seacrest- I mean, Jodway- out! ^_^

Lucky show opening
The Lucky show opened today, and while I nearly choked on my second line, the rest of the show went well; the audience responded with great enthusiasm. I am happy to work with Tyler Fry again, the tallest leprechaun in show business.
If you haven't seen the Strange Saga of Lucky the Leprechaun, you should give it a look. The play delves into the dark and seamy underbelly of the breakfast food industry. Dark & edgy, it presents leprechaun slavery, mechanisms of addiction, the legal rights of animal/human hybrids and if you believe that you'll believe anything. I was only fooling, it's not dark & edgy, but the rest is true. :P
Interestingly, Jeannette asked Ty, Ash, Court and me to do some improv. Ash has been kicking around the name "Evolution Improv," and JJ introduced us by that name, so we went out and chased some games around and wrestled them down to the stage. Fun! Thanks to Ben for appearing as the contestant in the Dating Game.
All in all, a very good value for a measly $3 per person. Come & see it!
